Travel in small groups with the chance to walk around on asphalt paths and meet local homeowners with well known horticulturalist Mike Maran. Your street shoes are suitable. - Then drive up to the summit of an extinct volcano, One Tree Hill, to view an ancient Maori fortress and spectacular views of Auckland City.

Mike's Profile:
I started my first job as Golf Greenkeeper and qualified in that profession. After 10 years, I changed my employment to Head Gardener at Auckland City Council Parks. I expanded my qualifications to Certificate in Trees & Diploma in Noxious Plants. I resigned from the City Council and decided to put my plants knowledge in to starting up my own Tour Company specialising in Garden Tours. Since then I have expanded into Garden education, a teaching Garden School to Japanese students.
